The Wunder-Bar Ceramic Syrup Piston is a specialized internal component for commercial soda bar guns. Constructed from high-purity wear-resistant ceramic, this piston (FR-06C) provides a glass-smooth interface with the syrup cylinder, ensuring a perfectly consistent brix ratio and a rapid, drip-free shut-off. Unlike plastic pistons, ceramic components do not deform under high pressure and offer superior resistance to the acidic nature of soda concentrates. Essential for restoring factory-spec accuracy to high-volume post-mix dispensing systems.
Technician's Repair Tip: If your soda gun is leaking from the nozzle or the brix ratio is "creeping," the syrup piston may be fouled with dried syrup residue or mineral scale. Ceramic components are fragile; handle with care during installation. Ensure the internal piston chamber is perfectly clean. Lubricate the associated seals with food-grade silicone grease (Petrol-Gel) to ensures a smooth handle action and prevent premature wear.
